CASPER
1993 - 2004

Casper, the white donkey, came to live with us January 25,1997.  He was born in 1993 in Monroe, Washington.   Sadly, he passed away on February 3, 2004.  He was pasture mates to all of our horses at one time or another but his best friends were Chief, Dog Soldier, Fitz, Cisco and Buddy.  Casper had an amazing personality and was quite the character!  Everyone who visited us at the Rockin' Bar H loved Casper and he loved them.  Casper was very friendly and enjoyed just hanging out with people in the arena or the barn.  He was always the first to bray his hello's and not shy about giving you a nudge or pulling on your sleeve if you weren't giving him enough attention!  Casper had learned to open gates and doors.  His latest trick was to open the stall doors and let everyone out; he would also trick them into going back in, then close the gate on them.  If we were leading a horse Casper liked to help out by taking the lead rope from you and lead the horse for you (not necessarily where you wanted to go though), he would bring us the hose or the bucket if he wanted fresh water, and would go into the barn to find a brush if he wanted grooming.  He loved to play so anything left around for him to get into becomes his new toy!   Tug of war was one of his favorite games that he played with Cisco and he always enjoyed rough housing in the pasture with everyone.  We miss Casper very much, and he will forever live in our hearts.
